Who we are: Divine Relief Aid Outreach Organisation is a local, community-based organisation founded in 2018 and duly registered under the Trustees Incorporation Act (Cap. 5:03), Registration No. TR/INC 8167. It is a nonprofit Organization that aims to improve the living conditions of rural orphans, disabled children, youths, women, men, their families and communities by implementing programs in agriculture and vocational training. These include health, education, income generation, water, sanitation and hygiene improvements, and formal and informal education.
The organisation came about following the living and rampant community problems such as the rising number of children that had become orphaned due to HIV/AIDS, street children, the displaced, increased unemployment, low levels of agricultural development, lack of water and poor sanitation and hygiene; hence the need to restore those that have been affected. Community- and rural-development-centred is the approach to all our work. This puts all the marginalised, illiterate, and unemployed at our focus so as to give them an opportunity to improve their lives. Everything we do is geared toward improving all parts of the community so they can meet their needs and become self-reliant. The organisation works with district local government and the Government through the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Gender (Children and Youth Department).
According to research conducted by Divine Relief Aid Outreach Organisation, many children in the communities of Malawi did not have shelter, as some at night were staying in the remains of old cars and drainage channels; many of them did not have where to stay, and when it rained, their lives were at a standstill. What we do: Child Advocacy: Ensuring the children our organisation supports grow up in a loving family and are properly protected.
Women Empowerment:
Shaping a brighter future for young women who have been rapped, abused or neglected and empowering them with trade-skills farming techniques and employment.
Relief Work:
Keeping people alive through nutritional aid or medical services.

Calling people to action to raise the standard of care for orphans: mobilising a board and network of individuals, churches, and businesses to meet orphans’ physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
