Our current undertakings
Youth Sobriety
The Youth for Sobriety – A program to help youth choose a life free from drugs by combining life skills training, ICT empowerment, awareness campaigns, and peer-led clubs. This holistic approach supports prevention, care, and sustained youth engagement
Sanitation & Hygiene
Sanitation refers to public health conditions related to clean drinking water and the treatment and disposal of human excreta and sewage. Preventing human contact with faeces is part of sanitation, and that is what DRAO focuses on.
Fish Farming
Stop hunger, start cash flow. Hunger keeps people poor. A background in fish farming is a huge advantage for youth. Small ponds can feed a household and generate income. DRAO believes in tools, and we equip families with fish ponds, not just a fish
Vocational Training
DRAOO is working flat out to establish a Vocational Training Centre (VTC) in Karonga District of Malawi. The program will focus on economic empowerment of Women, Girls, and Youth through Vocational Training and Skill Development.
Internet Connectivity
- DRAO, in partnership with Fast Networks-Malawi, is joining the Internet Society to promote Internet Connectivity in communities, helping make the Internet for everyone by providing reliable, resilient internet access to critical news, information, resources, and education for global citizens.
- Set up a Digital Skills & BPO Employability Program for Northern Region Youth
- Set up a community Internet Hub at Chipunga village,
Education
As a rural community development NGO, Divine Relief Aid Outreach Organisation focuses on breaking the cycle of poverty. One way to break this cycle, especially at a generational level, is to ensure children have the opportunity to go to school. This is an almost daily practice that most of us take for granted for our kids. However, formal education is not always an option for families living in Malawi’s focus areas.

What We Do
