Sanitation
Sanitation refers to public health conditions related to clean drinking water and the treatment and disposal of human excreta and sewage. Preventing human contact with faeces is part of sanitation, and that is what DRAO focuses on.
Our sanitation is linked to the transmission of diarrhoeal diseases such as cholera and dysentery, as well as typhoid, intestinal worm infections and polio. We work hard to prevent the spread of disease and improve environmental conditions and health.
